Altering your fonts in Windows XP

If you are having difficulties seeing or reading on-screen fonts (e.g. Tahoma or Monotype Corsiva), you may wish to alter the fonts displayed.

  1. Click 'Start' or press the 'Windows' logo key or press 'Ctrl' + 'Esc'.
  2. Click 'Control Panel' or press 'C' and press 'Enter'.
  3. Double click on ‘Appearance and Themes’.
  4. Double click on 'Display'.
  5. Click the 'Appearance ' tab or press 'Ctrl' + 'Tab' until it is at the front.
  6. Below ‘Font size’ is a drop down box that contains various schemes. Alternatively press 'Alt + 'F' and use the arrow keys to move through the various fonts and press 'Enter'.
  7. Select the font size required and click ‘Apply’, then click ‘OK’.
