Altering your colors in Windows XP

If you are having difficulties with the colours displayed on web pages, altering the colours used may improve your experience.

  1. Click 'Start' or press the 'Windows' logo key or press 'Ctrl' + 'Esc'.
  2. Click 'Control Panel' or press 'C' and press 'Enter'.
  3. Double click on ‘Appearance and Themes’.
  4. Double click on 'Display'.
  5. Click the 'Appearance' tab or press 'Ctrl' + 'Tab' until it is at the front.
  6. Below ‘Color Scheme’ is a drop down box that contains various schemes. Click on the required scheme or press 'Alt' + 'C' and use the arrow keys to move through the various schemes and press 'Enter'.
  7. Click ‘Apply’ then click ‘OK’.
