For Internet Explorer 6 or above

Hold down the ‘Alt’ key, press the number or letter of the access key, release both keys then press ‘Enter’.

For Mac and Linux Systems

Hold down the ‘Ctrl’ key and press the number or letter of the access key.

For Firefox 2

If you use Firefox 2, you will need to press shift and Alt at the same time as the access key number or letter e.g. shift + Alt + 1 to go to the home page.

Standards Compliance

Although the site doesn’t currently fully comply in all areas, our aspiration is to conform to all of the Guidelines for ESRC websites and the Worldwide Web Consortiums (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0, Level AA, and ensure we maintain this standard once it is achieved.

Our website design takes into account users who are visually impaired or have difficulties using a mouse. It is compatible with popular screen reading software and can be navigated using only a keyboard.
