Stata mini-guide exemplar 5

Step 1: Make sure you have Stata on your system.
Next click on one of the the links  : ex5wt.dta or : ex5.dta to open the data file

Step 2: You have now opened the data file in Stata.

Step 3: Now click on this code file ex5wt.do or ex5.do and SAVE it
to your computer. DO NOT TRY TO RUN IT YET.

Step 4: Next go back to the Stata package, go to the
menus and click on: Windows > Do-File Editor. Now
open the 'do' file you have saved in the editor.

Step 5: Follow the instructions in the 'do' file to run the code. The instructions are written as comments in the code.

Step 6: Your results should look like  ex5wtStatares.htm or  ex5_Statares.htm

NOTE: Stata commands can also be generated from the STATISTICS menu, where the survey commands can be found. The HELP file will also bring up dialogues to allow you to get into the commands
